Wabasen Genesis
Wabasen is an open-source software designed for file encryption, offering advanced security features such as wallet-based two-factor authentication (2FA). Its open-source nature ensures transparency and trust, allowing users to inspect the code for security assurance. The software employs a unique 2FA system by combining secure Ethereum wallets with a password, ensuring only authorized individuals can access the encrypted data.
In addition to its security features, Wabasen streamlines data management by grouping files and folders into TAR archives and compressing them with Gzip, optimizing storage space and facilitating efficient organization and backup of data. Developed in Rust, Wabasen is cross-platform, compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, enabling users to access their secure data from any device.
Wabasen prioritizes both speed and security, utilizing Rust and XChaCha20-Poly1305 Authenticated Encryption with Additional Data (AEAD) encryption for fast and secure encryption and decryption processes. Despite its advanced capabilities, Wabasen remains lightweight, with a binary size of less than 10 MB, making it efficient and accessible for users.
